Jenson Button on Monaco Race: 鈥淚 Was Stuck in Traffic in All Three ...

The Honda Racing F1 Team cars came home in 10th and 11th places in the Monaco Grand Prix, the two RA107s running nose-to-tail for most of the race, with Rubens Barrichello finishing 1.1s ahead of team-mate Jenson Button.

Rubens made an excellent start from ninth place on the grid. He made up two positions through the first corner, Ste Devote, and ended the opening lap wedged between Nico Rosberg and Mark Webber. Jenson, meanwhile, was fuelled slightly heavier than his team-mate and lost a place on the opening lap to cross the line in 11th place.

With it being notoriously difficult to overtake in Monaco, the two Honda Racing F1 Team drivers remained in seventh and 11th positions until lap 19, when Mark Webber retired from eighth place, which promoted Jenson to 10th.

Thailand's eco-drive

In an attempt to boost the automotive industry, while also bolstering overall investment, Thailand has finally moved forward with a long-delayed plan to become a regional hub for the production of "eco-cars". On June 15th the Board of Investment (BoI) finalised a range of incentives for the production of such vehicles, and the government has also approved a large cut in excise taxes. While it is a nice idea to develop cheap environmentally friendly cars, there are likely to be a number of obstacles to the plan's success.

Carmakers in Thailand have enjoyed stellar growth since the late 1990s, partly in response to rising local demand, and partly owing to the efforts of the government of the former prime minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, to encourage foreign investment and promote Thailand as a regional automotive hub.

BMW laments unfulfilled potential

BMW Sauber lamented a missed opportunity after leaving Indianapolis with just one point to show for its US Grand Prix weekend.

It was a disappointing payback for the Hinwil-based squad after it challenged Ferrari throughout practice and qualifying.

Nick Heidfeld ran fourth in the early stages but lost ground with an uncharacteristic spin just before his first pit stop and then retired with a hydraulic leak in the closing stages.

It was left to debutant Sebastian Vettel to provide the only shred of consolation by finishing eighth and becoming the youngest points-scorer in Formula 1 history.

鈥淲ithout doubt this was not the result we had hoped for," said team boss Mario Theissen.

Heidfeld said: 鈥淚 had a good start and overtook Kimi.

Honda dumps hybrid

TOKYO 聴 Honda will discontinue the hybrid version of its Accord sedans, the company said today, conceding Toyota's dominance with the Prius hybrid.

Honda Motor Co., Japan's No. 2 automaker, will continue to make gas-and-electric models of its Civic sedan but stop offering the hybrid Accord, with the new model expected to go on sale later this year, company spokesman Yoshiyuki Kuroda said in Tokyo. The Accord hybrid, which is sold only in North America, was a dud, selling just 25,000 since going on sale in 2004, and just 6,100 last year.

The Formula 1 doctors refused to provide Robert Kubica with a clearance to race, following his massive crash suffered in the Canadian Grand Prix, hence, BMW Sauber F1 team test and reserve driver Sebastian Vettel had to stand in, for the Pole. "Quite obviously, I'm looking forward to the race," said the 19-year old, "although it isn't nice to get the drive because of the accident of a team-mate." Sunday - Team Quotes

Lewis Hamilton (1st): "I'm on another planet after this - I simply can't find the words to describe what it feels like to win my first Formula 1 race. The team has done a fantastic job and I'm so happy to be part of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes family. I made an OK start off the line - nothing spectacular but managed to get a good exit out of the first corner and whilst mayhem was happening around me I was able to keep my cool and focus. Obviously I'm pleased that my good friend Robert is OK after his accident. It seemed like every time I opened up a bit of a gap the Safety Car came out and I had to start all over again. It was only a few laps from the end I realised that victory was within my grasp and I started noticing things like the fans cheering and when I crossed the finishing line it was amazing.

Matt Neal was again the quickest driver on track as the second free practice session drew to a close ahead of the latest rounds of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Oulton Park.

The Team Halfords driver improved his quickest lap to a 1min 28.762secs, which saw him jump ahead of team-mate Gordon Shedden at the circuit where the Scot snared his maiden BTCC win last season driving the teams dominant Honda Integra.

The pair, now at the wheel of the all new Honda Civic, were the only drivers to dip below the 1min 29secs mark during the 40 minute session, with the SEAT pairing of Darren Turner and Jason Plato next up in third and fourth.

Colin Turkington was fifth quickest for Team RAC ahead of Mat Jackson, although the session came to an early end for Jackson when he spun coming out of Deer Leap and backed his BMW 320si into the barriers on the inside of the circuit.

BMW to come back to Vietnam in July

It is expected that in early July 2007, five BMW 2007 models will appear on the domestic market. BMW's cars will be distributed in Vietnam by authorised distributors. The five models will include the luxury sedan 7 series and the multi-purpose vehicles (MPV) X5.

It remains unclear who will be the authorised official distributors of BMW cars in Vietnam. It is said that the distributors still have to complete several other procedures before presenting themselves before the public in July, when they will introduce the imported models manufactured by Germany's BMW.

In Vietnam, BMW has been one of the two most favourite brand names. However, the German automobile manufacturer was not successful with its plan to assemble cars in Vietnam to sell domestically in the VMC joint venture.

Proposed car-smoking ban angers foes of 'nanny' laws

When Anthony Johnson smokes in the car with his 2-year-old son in the backseat, he tries to limit himself to a few quick puffs and blows the smoke out the window.

"I feel guilty when I'm doing it," said Johnson, 33, of Oakland, adding that he tries not to. "I know it's wrong."

Soon, it could be illegal.

A proposal to ban smoking in cars with children inside, to be heard Wednesday in the state Senate's health committee, is the third bill in three months that has taken California's Legislature into arenas some say are better left to parents. The first would have outlawed spanking, and debate continues over whether to mandate vaccinating seventh-grade girls against a sexually transmitted disease that causes cervical cancer. California is one of at least 16 states considering bans on smoking in cars with children present.

Gaming on the Go: The Best of Laptop Gaming

Hitting the road or taking flight doesn't mean that you can't take the gaming with you. Unlike consoles, which are reduced to handheld games via a Sony PlayStation Portable, Nintendo GameBoy or Nintendo DS (not to mention all those mobile phone and PDA games), you can actually play the same PC titles on the go that you play at your desk.

Of course you're not going to be engaging in any epic multiplayer encounters on an Airbus A380, as no one will be too happy with you setting a Wi-Fi network, or running RJ-45 cables through the cabin, but that doesn't mean strategy and action games are grounded either. Laptops can actually handle the latest games as well as any desktop system. There is actually a category of gaming laptops from many manufacturers these days, and whether you're going for the pretty in pink Goth Girl portables from Voodoo or Alienware's other worldly inspired go anywhere gaming rig, one thing is also clear 鈥?gaming laptops aren't the old school IBM Think Pads.

Columbine game creator lacks common decency

If you have never heard of Slamdance, it's a film festival in New York that showcases independent movies. In recent years, it has also started showcasing independently made video games.

Slamdance is somewhat known for featuring movies that tend to be too racy for mainstream film festivals. Never in the history of the festival has a film been pulled due to controversy. So what would it take to be the first video game in the festival to be pulled?

How about making a game called "Super Columbine Massacre RPG!"

In this game, the player assumes the roles of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold on the morning of April 20, 1999. The game's main characters are known for shooting up their Littleton, Colo. high school. The game follows the real time progression of the tragic event, including the boys' own suicides.

Interest rates pushed up to 5.5%

Homeowners were dealt more mortgage pain today after the Bank of England raised interest rates to their highest point in six years.

The Bank's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) hiked its base rate from 5.25% to 5.5%, the fourth quarter-point rise since August.

The move had been widely expected after inflation hit 3.1% in March, forcing the Bank's Governor to write an explanatory letter to the Chancellor for the first time.

The increase is likely to add an estimated £16 a month to the average mortgage bill for households with a typical £100,000 mortgage.

Economist Philip Shaw at Investec Securities said: "The quarter-point increase is no surprise and comes against a background of rising inflationary pressure. We expect a further increase to come, to take base rates to 5.75%."

Oil prices rise as Nigerian election concerns linger

LONDON: World oil prices firmed on Monday as concerns lingered over crude production in Nigeria, the worlds sixth biggest exporter of oil, following disputed elections in the country.

In London, the price of Brent North Sea crude for June delivery gained 83 cents to 67.32 dollars per barrel in electronic trading.

New Yorks main oil futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in June, rose 40 cents to 64.51 dollars per barrel in electronic deals before the official open of the US market.

Crude futures were higher this morning, with investors concentrating on Nigerias elections held over the weekend, said analyst Michael Davies at the Sucden brokerage in London. However, international and local observers said these elections were compromised by ballot stuffing, lack of voting papers and outbreaks of violence, which could mean further violence if the election results are disrupted.

MUMBAI: The rupee sustained rally for the second consecutive day and on Friday ended at 44.2150/2250 against dollar, up by another 12 paise over last close of 44.3350/3450 following heavy exporters dollar sales amid negligible capital inflows.

In volatile trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange (forex) market, Indian unit surged against dollar despite a sharp fall of 164 points or 1.26 per cent in equity markets. The local currency fluctuated in a wide range of 44.2150 and 44.3600 during the day but surprisingly, discounted its correlation with the equity market.

Exporters were selling dollar heavily in a bid to cover their positions at the current levels, a forex dealer said. Drawing support initially from improving Asian currencies which moved upwards against dollar after being knocked during recent global stocks meltdown, the rupee advanced strongly despite negligible dollar supplies after consistent outflows, commented a leading banker.

Hewlett-Packard hikes 2Q guidance

Hewlett-Packard Co.'s turnaround efforts are paying off as the computer and printer maker said it is poised to bulldoze its earlier quarterly earnings targets and rake in an extra $1 billion in sales than previously expected.

The raised outlook sent shares up 2.8 percent Tuesday and underscored HP's market gains against Dell Inc. and others. It also helped mitigate some concerns of inventory buildup and increased competition.

Some analysts think HP, which has been working to slash costs and streamline its businesses under the regime of CEO Mark Hurd, has yet to reach its financial peak.

"Over the last two years, HP has been focused on improving itself, becoming leaner and stronger," said American Technology Research analyst Shaw Wu. "And now we're seeing the fruits of its work."

HP boosted its second-quarter forecast on Tuesday, citing strong results in its personal computer and server businesses.

Overseas investment may slow yuan

The expansion of a program allowing Chinese banks to invest overseas could restrain the yuan's appreciation, Hong Kong Monetary Authority Chief Executive Joseph Yam (迎) said yesterday.

China's banking regulator said Friday it will expand the Qualified Domestic Institutional Investor program to allow approved banks to invest in foreign stocks and equity-linked products on behalf of clients -- a move that could divert some of the money poured into domestic markets. Approved banks can already invest in fixed income products.

"[The move] may be able to alleviate the special macro-financial situation in China, for example the pressure on its exchange rate,'' Yam told reporters.

The yuan has risen 5.3 percent since a revaluation of 2.1 percent in July 2005, but with the country's growing trade surplus the yuan is likely to rise further.

Brits keen to sample property in Turkey

The Brits definitely have property for sale in Turkey fixed in their sights with over 13,000 people have already purchasing a second home there. With beautiful beaches, a perfect Mediterranean climate, cheap property prices and direct flights out from the UK, its a wonder why places arent being snapped up even quicker. Current property prices in Turkey are on a par with those seen in the emerging Spanish market of 1998 and at the moment a two-bedroom apartment in Altinkum costs around 23,500, the same price as the average family car. The demand for new build properties is ever increasing, both from a domestic and an overseas perspective, and Turkey continues to address its housing deficit of some 600,000 homes.Land value has doubled over the past two years and property prices have responded accordingly, rising by 25 40 per cent across the most popular coastal regions.

A gifted communicator with an intuitive feel for the national mood, he has dominated Britain's political landscape. Three consecutive election victories assure him a place in the history books as Labour's most successful leader. Margaret Thatcher apart, no other prime minister since the Napoleonic wars can claim an uninterrupted decade in 10 Downing Street.

A bench comprising justice CK Thakker and justice Tarun Chatterjee, after preliminary hearing, admitted Sebi's plea against the tribunal's order, which held that the regulator lacked enough evidence to prove that stock broker Millennium Equities (India) had manipulated scrip prices of three companies. Sebi said that it had suspended Millennium Equities' certificate of registration for six months after a probe showed that the stock broker, through its dealings on the Bombay Stock Exchange, was found guilty of manipulating the prices.

India's Boom-Bay Market?

Turns out -- Hollywood actor Richard Gere isn't the only American unable to contain his heated ardor for the finer things in India. From the female leads in Bollywood to the financial leads in Bombay, the US has swept India's stock market into its arms and sealed its commitment to its future with a big, wet, sloppy kiss.

The romance was solidified on April 23, when India's main benchmark index the Sensex soared past the psychologically important 14,000 mark for the first time in two months. Soon after, news broke that the BOOM was officially back in Bombay via data showing that India's economy expanded 9.2% in the fiscal year ending March 31 -- the strongest rate in over two decades AND one that puts the country on course to become the second fastest growing economy in the world.

Since then, Wally-Street's fondness for India has been anything but discreet: A recent Time Magazine column quotes one high-profile emerging market investor as saying, "The Relentless Rise In India; it's like China 15 or 20 Years Ago."

No cheap fling, mind you: In the last 36 months, foreign investors have poured $30 B-B-Billion into India's stock market.

Customers complain about dirty rentals

Karen Moawad saw the numbers written in ink on the upholstery of a 2007 Mercury Montego she rented from Hertz last week and wasn't surprised.

Moawad, the CEO of a management consulting company in Bainbridge Island, Wash., says the cars she rents usually have a "filthy" interior or water spots that blocks windows and exterior mirrors.

Car rental companies say they work hard to provide clean cars. Hertz says dirty cars rank low in customer complaints, and it received high scores for rental car cleanliness and appearance in a survey by marketing information firm J.D. Power and Associates last year. But an inquiry on the subject to some of the 1,500 people on the USA Today Road Warrior panel, including Moawad, found many who aren't buying it. "There has definitely been a deterioration in standards," Moawad says.

What US Treasury Secretary really intends to do?

Ace investment banker from the Wall Street Henry M. Paulson has visited China in his capacity as the US treasury secretary. During his recent trip, he talked a lot about the reform in banking sector and confused differences in the basic concepts of the reform and opening-up. In his speech at Shanghai futures exchange, he said China needs to quicken reforms of financial sector, and the faster the reforms the better. And greater risks will be incurred if the reforms are postponed. In dealing with challenges facing China's banking sector, he also set forth three proposals, namely, "allowing Chinese banks to sell controlling stakes to foreign investors, increasing QFII quotas and loosening restrictions on the participation of foreign banks in the domestic capital market and health insurance sector.

Nash tests injured right shoulder, eyes return

LAS VEGAS - It didn't seem like Steve Nash did much during the Western Conference All-Stars' practice Saturday, but to those following the injured Suns point guard, he did.

While the team ran through plays under the direction of the Suns coaching staff on one end, Nash took shots at the other hoop under the supervision of Suns head trainer Aaron Nelson. Nash also went through an array of drills to test his right shoulder with its most activity since a Feb. 5 game at Denver.

The shoulder did not feel 100 percent to Nash, but he said it has improved throughout the break. Though few rise early in Las Vegas, Nash has been getting up for 7 a.m. rehabilitation sessions with Nelson. Nash intends to practice Monday so that he can be cleared to play in the Suns' game Tuesday against the Clippers in Los Angeles.

Why did you relocate the office of Daily Times from its former site? It's not actually relocation per se. You know when you acquire business, there is one thing that you don't do. You don't pour new wine into an old wineskin. You need to step back and reconstruct and regain transformation. It is not basically compulsory that where your business was located before is where you have to continue. If you remember, Daily Times started from Labinjo Close, from Labinjo Close to Kakawa and from Kakawa Street it moved to Agidingbi and that's a long time ago.

Stolen cars end up in an $80 million market

Upmarket vehicles stolen to order are often stripped down for parts or repainted in elaborate back-street "chopshops".

Police car theft expert Mark Leys, of Papatoetoe, said he hadn't heard of a rental car company being hit in the way Hamilton's Avis was hit this week.

"We've previously had haulage yard break-ins and for a while there we had problems at the wharf at the clearing yard for Japanese imports," he said.

"We don't get too many late-model Commodores taken but a common thing for thieves to do is to strip them down to a shell, then when the insurance company writes them off, buy the shell, refit it and then have a clean, new car."

Of the 7227 cars stolen and not recovered last year, 6179 are thought to have been stolen by professionals who cut them down and changed identification numbers.

Ways to save on auto insurance

| In an age when a gallon of gas costs an average of $2.26, car owners can rejoice at a little bit of good news: The typical American driver will pay less for auto insurance this year than in 2006, according to the Insurance Information Institute. This is the first decrease in insurance premiums since 1999.

But the average annual cost for car insurance is still a hefty $847 (it was $851 in 2006). So if you're looking to save more than $4 on your car insurance, there are other ways to bring down your costs:

Adidas_1 DLX Runner updated, less fugly

Adidas has decided to expand its line of "smart" shoes with the Adidas_1 DLX Runners. Even though these shiny new versions might look and perform better than the first iteration, they still won't tear us away from our desks -- of course, exercise isn't exactly our bag (unless you count typing as a work out). Regardless of how horrid they appeared, we must admit that the originals performed as advertised, using an embedded microprocessor, motor, and sensor to automatically adjust cushioning to the ideal level by sensing shifts in pace and movement. The new DLX Runners sport a lighter motor mechanism and customize to each individual's needs more effectively by recognizing running style and remembering personal requirements. Most importantly, they actually look like normal shoes and less like miniature spaceships.

More commission cuts likely

Comment: ANZ's discussion document proposing to cut upfront commissions paid to mortgage brokers won't be the last.

Most of the banks will move to cut commissions to improve their margins. Word has it that National Bank will do something, maybe as early as next week, and Westpac isn't far away suggesting a similar move, but perhaps a bigger cut. The unknown is what ASB Bank is thinking.

Added to this it seems the aggression in the BNZ Unbeatable campaign has been removed and replaced by TotalMoney.

Likewise it would be no surprise to see BNZ re-enter the broker market. Again word has it that such a move maybe a little closer than many expect.

A view expressed previously is that with a change in leadership at the bank there will also be a change in strategy.

Carmen Electra Plays Candy Fiveways Like A Porn Pro

Carmen Electra didn't have to watch any adult movies to research her porn star role in new movie 'I Want Candy' - because she has seen enough already!

The sexy star plays a top adult movie actress, called Candy Fiveways, in the new British comedy. It tells the story of two wannabe porn directors - and Electra had no problem relating to the role because she is already a porn connoisseur.

Speaking at the London premiere of the film last night (20.03.07), Carmen told BANG Showbiz: "I didn't really need to do any research for the part, like watch lots of porn films. I've already seen enough!"

Small Cars In Hot Demand

Demand for small cars has seen their values increase by 30 per cent in the last year according to used car sales statistics released today by Turners Auctions.

In the under 1300cc category there has been an average price increase of 30 per cent in 2006 based on actual Turners sales figures.

Turners General Manager, Marketing Todd Hunter says demand for small cars has been driven by the high fuel prices in the first half of 2006 and a growing environmental conscience among New Zealand motorists.

“The larger engine cars have seen a significant reduction in the average value which can be attributed to both fluctuating oil prices and a desire to reduce vehicle CO2 emissions,” said Mr Hunter.

The Subaru Legacy is New Zealand’s top selling second-hand vehicle but Toyota remains our favourite make of car, according to Turners Auctions which accounts for eight per cent of the total used car market in New Zealand.

Metal Mania 3 - "Stripped On The Strip Hollywood Concert (With ...

Basically, this was a release party for Volume 3 of the VH1 Metal Mania 3 CD (which was also included in our ticket price). Not a bad disc if you enjoy these bands and how their songs come off acoustically.

I Arrived about 8:45, just in time to catch the last two songs from Jani Lane, former singer of Warrant. Despite all Id read about Jani on the Metal Sludge website, Jani appeared coherent and in pretty good shape. His voice sounded just fine too. Unfortunately, I did not recognize either of his last two songs, although they both went over with the crowd pretty well.

Next up was Don Dokken...by himself, with just an acoustic guitar, a lit cigarette and a glass of Jack Daniels. Don mentioned that he contacted Mick Brown about the show, but ultimately decided just to do it himself, without any other band members.

Zipcar plans to accelerate expansion

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — After nearly seven years of getting strangers to rent cars for a few hours at a time, Zipcar Inc. said it believes it has the know-how to leap beyond its customer base of tech-savvy 20- and 30-somethings in big U.S. cities.

The car-sharing service announced Tuesday that it's revamping its reservation and fleet management systems — moves Zipcar is taking to support expansion into Europe and other new markets beyond the 13 states and Canadian provinces where it now operates.

Infringement action to be taken over used car tax

Brussels is expected to initiate infringement procedures against Malta over its discriminatory registration tax on used cars, MaltaToday can reveal.
Malta’s higher registration tax on second-hand cars is currently being investigated by the European Commission’s directorate for taxation and customs, and is likely to culminate in the first stage of infringement procedures to be launched against Malta this month.
In response to a complaint from a Maltese citizen, an official from the Commission’s directorate said an infringement of EU law could arise if the tax on second-hand imports was higher than that imposed on new car imports.
Head of unit Micole Wiebke said an investigation is under way into the reduction of registration tax in order to comply with EU law, which prohibits member states from imposing any tax on EU products in excess of that imposed on similar domestic products, or so as to afford indirect protection to other products.

Home Equity: The Party May Be Over For Consumers

Will the housing collapse deal a major blow to consumer spending? The moment of truth is fast approaching. Weak home sales, stagnating or falling house prices, and tighter lending standards are limiting the amount of cash households can obtain by tapping into their home equity. Some economists believe this cash strongly supported spending in recent years. .

GEICO to add 100 employees

The fourth largest private auto insurer in the country plans to add 100 more employees to its Coralville location, the manager said Thursday.

Dina Pon, manager of GEICO insurance in Coralville, said the extra jobs will be for entry-level sales and service jobs. GEICO already employs 300 in Coralville.

"We're growing our service operation," Pon said. "Essentially, we have a need for service professionals."

Pon said the location hired 88 people last year and was chosen by the company to grow because of "better-than-average" sales and service results.

Pon said recruitment efforts have started with GEICO representatives attending career fairs at the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa.

The location wants people with good attitudes, weekend availability and flexibility, Pon said.

NT$ falls to 1-month low on outflow

Taiwan's dollar yesterday weakened to a one-month low on concern overseas investors will cut holdings of stocks and traders will borrow the currency to invest in higher-yielding assets.

Fund managers outside of Taiwan sold more equities than they bought for nine straight days, the longest period since May 26, according to stock exchange data. The local dollar also extended last week's 0.3 percent slide on speculation investors will use the Taiwan dollar as a funding currency for so-called carry trades.

"Persistent outflows are going to be a factor for the currency," said Steven Chang, global markets vice president in Hong Kong at State Street Bank & Trust Co. "Investors will also resume the carry and that's a negative for the Taiwan dollar currency too."

The Taiwan dollar dropped 0.2 percent to NT$33.029 at 4 p.m.

As Bonds chases record, two manufacturers hope he'll be swinging ...

TEMPE, Ariz. - Barry Bonds isn't considered a darling in the world of corporate marketing, but bat manufacturers are scrambling to put their product in his hands.

Who wouldn't want to supply the bat used to break the all-time home run record?

The winner appears to be a Japanese company, SSK, which provided Bonds a dozen black-and-gold lacquered maple bats made to the slugger's exact specifications. Bonds is using the bats this spring - he just ordered 36 more - and considers them nearly identical to the Sam Bats he has faithfully swung since 1999.

"They did it perfect," said Bonds, who swung an SSK in Wednesday's exhibition against the Los Angeles Angels.

Bonds began auditioning for a new bat supplier because of an inconvenient truth.

Mother Nature, in tandem with financial issues, has put Ottawa-based Sam Bats manufacturer Sam Holman months behind in filling his 2,000 major league orders.

Insurer Rx: Kind doctors

An upstart Iowa-based medical malpractice insurer is quizzing physicians on their bedside manners in hopes that a little kindness will create a fewer legal problems for its policyholders.

When United Medical Liability Insurance Co. began business mid-2005, President and Chief Executive James Krist, 48, said that he wanted to develop a malpractice carrier that is attuned to the physicians in Iowa. He didn't want a company that was issuing policies to Iowa physicians the same way it might to caregivers in Florida or California.

"We don't think there's a lot of bad medicine in this state," Krist said. "We have good physicians. And good results."

Building an insurer from the ground up gave United Medical a fresh chance to look at the way risks might be reduced.

Basketball ShoeThe apparent confessions of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to planning the September 11 attacks were today met with shock and scepticism in almost equal measure.

The alleged No 3 in al-Qaida has long been suspected of being the mastermind behind the 2001 attacks in America but, if true, Mr Mohammed's most recent admissions would confirm his as a man the US has described as "one of history's most infamous terrorists".

Mr Mohammed was arrested in Pakistan in 2003 and spent time in secret CIA prisons before being moved with 13 others to a maximum security compound at Guantnamo Bay last year.

His list of confessions, in which he places himself at the centre of al-Qaida plots spanning a decade, are contained in the transcript of a tribunal held behind closed doors at the Cuban camp.gilbert arena basketball shoes

Cashback is a sweet, melancholy comedy for rueful romantics that should have landed here to honour St. Valentine. But we'll happily take it in the name of St. Patrick.

This expanded feature-length version of the 2006 Oscar-nominated short film by hugely talented young British writer-director Sean Ellis deals with the unhappy consequences of being dumped by a girlfriend.

The question asked is, What is love, anyway? And while we're at it, What is beauty? As formulated by shoe-gazing art student Ben Willis (appealing Sean Biggerstaff, the Quidditch captain in the first two Harry Potter films), there is no easy answer.

Ben is in pain. One day he's thick as thieves with Suzy (Michelle Ryan). The next, she's ditched him for a bigger man on campus. Because he's a sensitive artist, he takes the news like a shaft to the heart. Buy-in-Home.
