Nash tests injured right shoulder, eyes return

LAS VEGAS - It didn't seem like Steve Nash did much during the Western Conference All-Stars' practice Saturday, but to those following the injured Suns point guard, he did.

While the team ran through plays under the direction of the Suns coaching staff on one end, Nash took shots at the other hoop under the supervision of Suns head trainer Aaron Nelson. Nash also went through an array of drills to test his right shoulder with its most activity since a Feb. 5 game at Denver.

The shoulder did not feel 100 percent to Nash, but he said it has improved throughout the break. Though few rise early in Las Vegas, Nash has been getting up for 7 a.m. rehabilitation sessions with Nelson. Nash intends to practice Monday so that he can be cleared to play in the Suns' game Tuesday against the Clippers in Los Angeles.
